Fire Break Services

Firebreak Services Ltd is a fire related training and consultancy company operating throughout the UK and in Europe from a base at Glen Tanar Estate, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It serves a wide range of customers including government agencies, landowners and conservation organisations. The company’s focus is vegetation fire management including but not limited to, hazard and risk assessments, emergency fire planning, advice, training, consultancy and fire investigations.

  • Michael Bruce

    Michael Bruce BSc (Hons) owner and operator of Firebreak Services Ltd, established the company in in 2003. Michael has also been running Glen Tanar Estate since 1986. He practises Muirburn (prescribed burning) for a variety of objectives including wildlife habitat management, ground preparation for tree regeneration, the creation of fuelbreaks and applied research on the estate.
